HARMONY

Harmony a chain of adult stores in the UK launched a flagship store on Oxford Street in London. The store was designed to reflect a new attitude to the sex industry. Field Grey was commissioned to produce a uniform that defined this exciting new store

We worked to a tight timescale of six weeks in collaboration with the interior designers Spacecraft and graphic designers Draught Associates.

1. Accessories / Field Grey commissioned Richard Grey - an illustrator whose client list includes Alexander McQueen and Agent Provocateur to illustrate a print for neck scarves to be worn by the female staff. The Illustration spells out the words H.a.r.m.o.n.y in naughty ladies.

2. Uniform / The uniforms were for a total of 40 male and female sales staff. Draught Associates created bespoke wallpapers for the interiors. We took these wallpaper designs and the brand colours, which included pinks, purples, greys, blues and reds. Softer colours combined with traditional colours associated with the sex industry.

The uniform incorporated light grey trousers from Boxfresh, and long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts, which were printed with the wallpaper graphics that could be layered according to the season.

3. Environment / The uniform successfully translated within a short lead-time the core brand values of the Harmony chain.
