Field Grey was invited to design uniforms for Launceston Place.
D&D Restaurants recently acquired Launceston Place in London. This restaurant defined the renaissance of eating out in the 90's and has a loyal local following in Kensington.
1. Accessories / Field Grey sourced various potential brands to collaborate on the project including Salvatore Ferragamo ballet pumps.
Brooches, cufflinks and belt buckles would be made from resin inset with wood veneers from the bespoke furniture.
2. Uniform / We wanted to reflect the interior of the restaurant and designed uniforms in chocolate, black, cream and white. The prints on the dresses for reception were designed to co ordinate with the wallpaper. Fabrics included cotton, silk, chiffon and wool, traditional fabrics and half line tailoring to give greater movement.
3. Environment / The interiors reflect the decadence of fine dining with dark wood veneers in walnut, furniture with references to art deco, a variety of opulent wallpapers and enormous lampshades made from fibre optics.
