ABOUT FIELD GREY

Field Grey provides services focusing on the design and development of uniforms. 'Uniform' has over the years become a generic term for a variety of clothes. Field Grey has developed an inventive and researched response to this specialist area of service design be it corporate wear, general workwear, promotional clothing or uniforms i.e., Emergency services.

Field Grey delivers a fresh perspective on this industry, using design, technology and research. It actively collaborates with all relevant stakeholders including multidisciplinary design services Marketing and Brand managers and also works with independent SMEs where sourcing distinctive, well-constructed uniforms can be difficult.

WHAT WE DO

Field Grey works directly with clients but also collaborates with other design disciplines to create a uniform that becomes an intrinsic part of the brands philosophy, design and marketing.

This is achieved by becoming actively involved in projects at conception stage, acting as a catalyst for the design process and allowing time for appropriate product development of the uniforms, in effect to be the uniform guardians.

Field Grey recruits new Design & Production Manager
3rd February 2011

Field Grey is pleased to announce the appointment of Debbie Johnson as Design and Production Manager.

Debbie joined Field Grey in January bringing nearly 20 years design and brand development experience. Debbie specialises in corporate wear and has previously worked with Julian MacDonald to create uniform for Abbey, Eddie Lau to create uniform for Cathay Pacific and John Rocha to create uniform for Virgin Atlantic. Over the past two years her expertise has also been called upon by a number of privately owned jet airlines to create exclusive collections of high end tailoring for their cabin crew and pilots.

Debbie's appointment follows a busy six months at uniform specialist, Field Grey where the team has successfully completed a number of projects including uniforms for a boutique hotel and restaurant in Edinburgh and for an international airline.

Debbie's role will see her developing Field Grey's travel and airline business and working with Creative Director and Founder, Janice Turner, to develop a new service line for the hospitality industry.

"We are delighted to have Debbie on board and look forward to drawing on her vast experience in uniform design to help take Field Grey to the next level".
