Australia&#8217;s flag carrying airline turns 95 today. To celebrate, we&#8217;re taking a look back at the rich visual history of the brand. Over nearly a century, Qantas have collaborated with some of the world&#8217;s greatest names in art and design, from legendary fashion designers to the cream of the product design world. A twin set with lavish gold buttons and red berets were produced:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1964-1969.jpg\" alt=\"fashion-1964-1969\" width=\"680\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1964-1969.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1964-1969-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1964-1969-1024x738.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gents were offered luxury too, with these onboard shavers!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5212\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1970s-onboard-shaver.jpg\" alt=\"fashion-1970s-onboard-shaver\" width=\"680\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1970s-onboard-shaver.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1970s-onboard-shaver-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1974 saw the introduction of a bold blue uniform:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5214\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-1974.jpg\" alt=\"fashion-1971-1974\" width=\"680\" height=\"677\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-1974.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-1974-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-1974-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2026while the Boeing 747 First Class lounge in 1971 offered an insight into the glamorous travel of the 1970s\u2026<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5215\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-onboard.jpg\" alt=\"fashion-1971-onboard\" width=\"680\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-onboard.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1971-onboard-300x229.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pucci, no stranger to designing airline style, was drafted in in 1974 to create a range of vibrant looks for cabin crew, which included tropical print skirts for women and a variety of brightly coloured tailored jackets for men:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5216\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1974-1985.jpg\" alt=\"fashion-1974-1985\" width=\"680\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1974-1985.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fashion-1974-1985-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The baton then fell to fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent, who designed this range of clothing for Qantas staff.
