As the finishing touches were coming together, Field Grey paid a visit at the start of this month. <\/p>\n<p>The new bar and restaurant complex is part of the overhaul of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palacehotelmanchestercity.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Palace Hotel<\/a>, one of Manchester&#8217;s most iconic residences. With a 139-cover restaurant and various areas to imbibe, The Refuge by Volta is set to become the hottest place to hang out. Volta&#8217;s reputation precedes itself; restaurateurs turned DJs Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voltafoodanddrink.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">West Didsbury venue<\/a> has long be a favourite of Mancunians and visitors. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/FieldGrey_MattBramford_VoltaTheRefuge_0451.jpg\" alt=\"Volta Refuge Manchester Palace Hotel\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/FieldGrey_MattBramford_VoltaTheRefuge_0451.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.field-grey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/FieldGrey_MattBramford_VoltaTheRefuge_0451-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Field Grey have designed a bespoke khaki cotton canvas waist apron with antique brass eyelets. The Refuge by Volta&#8217;s interior was originally the main hall for The Refuge Assurance Company (hence the name) and the interior is Grade II* listed.<\/p>\n<p>The stunning Winter Garden is nestled in the centre of The Refuge.
