Design LSM invited Field Grey to develop a uniform solution for Chop Bloc & Bloc Bar, a new independent restaurant in the heart of Chelmsford.Approach / The restaurant’s uniform solution needed to cover all areas, from waiters and bartenders to kitchen staff and chefs.
Results / Field Grey selected sharp bib shirts in contrasting colourways to be used throughout the building. Worn with a blood red cotton apron featuring pink herringbone ties and large brass eyelets, the complete uniform reflects the colours of meat and the rustic nature of a butcher’s.
Subtle bovine branding was applied to all shirts and aprons and Field Grey also provided distinctive t-shirts for the chefs that showcase prime cuts of meat.
Chop Bloc / Spanning three levels of an 18th century, Grade II listed former brewer’s building, Chop Bloc & Bloc Bar is owned by restauranteurs Steve and Dave Pattern — two men who share a passion for meat and a desire to turn the farm to fork process into a high-end dining experience.
